First Advisory Board meeting of the ValueCare project!

On May 14th, ISRAA participated in the first meeting of the Advisory Board of the ValueCare project (funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme and coordinated by Erasmus Medical Center – The Netherlands).

Oscar Zanutto, FABER coordinator, participated in the online meeting that was chaired by Mona Khalid, Chair of the Advisory Board with the seven members of the Board - Xinye Fang, Charlotte Haggren, Ester Sarquella, Michael Rigby, Yuping Mao, Elena Curtopassi, Viktor Persic – and the 17 partners from 8 European countries.

The meeting focused on the discussion and planning of the duties and tasks of this Advisory Board, considering the framework, objectives, and new time frame of the ValueCare project, updated after its extension for 6 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The ValueCare digital solution aims to support an integrated model of care for older adults with more than 65 years old, in the social and health areas, both in public and private services.

The solution is based on a co-creation methodology and will be tested in 2022, in 7 large-scale pilots through Europe: Italy, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Croatia, The Netherlands and Ireland.

AULSS2 Marca Trevigiana, in collaboration with ISRAA, will be responsible for the implementation of the large-scale pilot in Treviso (Italy). This pilot site intends to involve 240 participants with mild-cognitive impairment (MCI) and it aims essentially to:

  • Improve the quality of life of older adults and prevent their condition from worsening

  • Explore the potential of ValueCare technology giving the opportunity to create personalised and modifiable integrated care along the care pathway and in improving communication between formal, informal caregivers and older adults (in the social and health sectors)

  • Consolidate the local and community ecosystem of actors around these older people
